The Uniform Project, c’est un projet qui en a du style certes, mais qui a surtout du cœur.

The Uniform Project is thus a project with a sense of the style, but it is more than everything a devoted project.

La jolie New Yorkaise Sheena Matheiken a grandi et étudié en Inde, et connaît de fait les difficultés liées à l’accès à l’éducation dans ce pays.

Elle est l’initiatrice de ce projet ingénieux qui tend a rassembler des fonds afin de scolariser le plus grand nombre d’enfants issus des « slums » : pendant toute une année, et ce depuis le mois de mai dernier déjà, elle s’est lancée le défi de porter chaque jour la même petite robe noire, mais de ne jamais avoir le même look !!

The pretty New Yorker Sheena Matheiken grow up and studied in India, and thus knows too well the difficulty to access education in this country.

Then, she had the idea of this ingenious project, which aims to gather money to allow slum kids to go to shool.
How : she decided to take up the challenge to wear each day of one whole year the same little black dress, but never to look the same.

Vous pouvez imaginez ça ?! Moi qui chaque jour tente de ne jamais porter la même tenue que la veille mais qui ai toujours l’impression de ressembler à la même chose (rien !), Sheena me cloue le bec et redouble d’ingéniosité pour accessoiriser sans fin et toujours réinventer sa petite robe.

Je m’inspire de son imagination, démonstration avec trois de ses nombreuses tenues :

What a lesson for ladies like me who try every day not to wear the same outfit, but who feel to always look the same (= bad !).
Sheena manages to reinvent her dress, and this since may 2009 !
